This is a demo of a Flex database front-end. As this demo comes without a server database all insert, delete and search operations are just simulated. See below for a more thorough description. The complete application can be found in my experimental area which is only sometimes on-line though. You need the flash plugin of at least version 9 for this demo.
The application has three operating modes: Input, browse and search. These are selected in the top-most area. The middle area is used for record entry and display as well as search options. Below are the operations belonging to the current operating mode.
The restrictions are as follows: The input of new records triggers a success message, but nothing has actually been saved. The same applies to changes to records. Deletion seems to be successful, too. But it is only temporary. The search function has always the same result independand of search options. It simulates the search for all books in the german language.
